Santander Corporate and Commercial Banking has launched its UK Town and City Index, a major report into business competitiveness across the UK. The Index is based on 20 factors that can drive private sector business competitiveness such as business survival rates, median income and broadband speeds. These have been grouped into five broad 'domains': Enterprise, Talent, Connectivity, Costs and Well-being.

Overall, the study analyses 74 conurbations in the UK as well as 32 London boroughs and the summaries on the interactive map show where each town, city or borough is ranked within the UK/London for each of these domains.
